It all begins with the right perspective.

Texas is expansive. From small towns to large cities, it seems endless. Huge west Texas skies display stars at night that can’t be counted and mountains that reach to the clouds. Coastal areas are rich with wildlife refuges, beaches and secret hideaways. The Texas hill country defines the transition from the green coastal plain to a more arid, rugged landscape. Countless ranches, farms and small towns are scattered across the state and populated with some of the friendliest folks you’ll ever meet. Big cities are diverse with people from multiple cultures and backgrounds.

Texas is a special place.

For me, photography is about unveiling things we encounter daily and often take for granted. Many times we don’t realize the beauty of where we live until it’s gone. Vintage signs that point back to a simpler time, the classic old home or building that may be torn down to make room for a modern strip center or multi-story office complex, or simply the natural landscapes found in nearby parks, by creeks, lakes, rivers, and the surrounding countryside.

Beauty is all around us, sometimes it takes seeing things from the right perspective. The camera lens is the tool I use to try and provide that perspective, a tool to unveil those things hidden in plain sight.
